Creating your GCKey account

Your account lets you submit your Express Entry profile and subsequent application for permanent residence, pay your application fees, check the progress of your application and receive messages and updates from IRCC.

Do not proceed with this step unless you already have your IELTS and ECA results. You will need to provide your report numbers while creating your profile.

The following steps will help guide you through the process of creating your account:

1. First, start by creating a GCKey account on this page.

2. Once there, click on Register.

3. On the next page, scroll down and click on Register with GCKey.

4. Now choose to create a new account by clicking on Sign Up.

5. Next, review and agree to the Terms and Conditions. Click "I accept" when ready.

6. You will now be asked to create a username and password. Save your login information for future reference. Click "Continue" when ready.

7. On the final page, you will have to select standard security questions and answers. Make sure to save and remember the answers to these questions. You may be prompted to provide the answers when you log back into your account at a later date.

Once you have created your GCKey account, you will now be able to create and submit your Express Entry profile.
